True greatness

Bible is full of paradoxes. In fact Jesus teachings lifts it to an another level altogether. He says blessed are the gentle for they shall inherit the earth.Sounds absurd isn't it, have you heard of any gentle person inheriting the earth. We are told that only the strong and mighty can do it. That is the way the world thinks but the kingdom principles are a different paradigm altogether. Jesus says in the gospel of Mark 10:43, "But it is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant". What has greatness got to do with a servant. In fact that is the last thing in a mans heart when he is intending to become great. Have you seen a servant who is great? This is the ultimate paradox, servant hood = greatness. In order to understand this we need to unwrap the word greatness. What is your definition of greatness? Is it power? Is it position and authority? Is it prestige and pleasure? Is there hope?

A world torn by turmoil, terrorism, genocide, diseases, corruption, global warming and all kinds of atrocities against mankind. Where are we heading to? Is there hope anywhere? People are desperately looking for hope. They try religion, relationships, wealth, knowledge and what not but miserably fail. Some think that things will become better, we can make the world a better place to live but things are regressing at such a furious pace that no human government can find solution to all these problems. Are we doomed forever? Hope is the dividing line between life and death. Hope enables us to go on with our life. It is like a thin rope which a man hanging down a cliff desperately clings on to. Many things in this world promises to give us hope but fails to deliver. Many decide to end their life when they are at their hopes end. But millions have found hope in trusting somebody. He changed the course of history, He divided it into two, He has not written a single line yet millions of book

Life and Eternity

Life is not about what you get or what you make, life is all about what you give. From the moment we are born we are taught and conditioned to recieve. That becomes our natural inclination, to recieve food, nourishment, love, appreciation, education etc. It is against our natural inclination to give, It is devine to give,"for God so loved the world that he gave us His only begotten Son". God knows only one thing, to give. Are we givers or recievers?
